RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009

David G, did you get the update to Fishinghats Bio that I sent to you? Looks like the Beavers are Rose Bowl bound and the Huskies are toilet bowl bound, breaks my Husky heart. David G, by the way, I do not see your picture posted.

Tom and Carol, we will see you down there. We will not be back until just before the rally. Right now we plan to come home thru Arches and Canyon Lands and then who knows. With the daughter and kids here we are in no rush to get back. Sure be glad when her hubby gets home from this deployment, but thats not until next June.

Just left Costco and regular was $1.99, its been a long time since I saw that. Almost wish I had a gas rig sometimes instead of a Cat diesel.

RE: Booth Dinette vs Table & Chairs??

Four motorhomes and all had the booth. I finally rip it out of this one and put in table and chairs with a nice cabinet along the wall. We did not loose any storage and in fact gained some. I built the cainet with sliding doors so that you could have full access without having to move the chairs or get down on your knees. If you want pictures send me a PM.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009

I have completed the last mod to the Tradewinds for this year and it is officially ready to go south. The booth dinette is gone and the new free standing with cabinet is installed. Fueled it up this week and topped off the propane tanks. I have to tell you I sure did like $3 a gallon vice $4.89 for diesel and today its under $3 up the street. The Jeep YJ I have been rebuilding to play with in the desert is ready to tow once I put the tow brackets on it so that is close. Its been wonderful to have the daughter and grandkids here but we are so ready to let them have the place to themselves. Going to Arizona never looked so good. From what I have read it looks like only a couple of us are going this year going to miss those of you who are not making the run down this year.

The Rain Dance.....So anyway there we were in Clarkston camped on the Snake River. The Great Chiefs Grousehunter and NewsWriter had brought us together for a gathering. Tradewinds had with absolutely no power or authority proclaimed Hobo, Mopargo and Dick A to be responsible for performing a Rain Dance to keep away the Evil Ruler of Winds and Rain. Tradewinds knew of which he spoke!!! Upon arriving Hobo claimed old age, Mopargo bad knee's and Dick A was a non arrival. No rain dance was performed and the Evil Ruler of Winds and Rain struck. The winds blew, the rain came down in sheets, awnings went up and over, streets flooded, there was no end to the rain that fell. The great taker of pictures David G has the pictures of what happend in the next hour so we never forget. Since then the Evil Ruler of Wind and Rain has taken pitty on us but it is only time till he strikes again and we are again without dancers. We will pay for our lack of respect and dance.

RE: New Digital TV's for 2000 National Seabreeze

Try the Narional Owners Site on Yahoo Groups. Lots of people there have made the switch to the new TV's and can give you good info on what they did or you can do a search there and read thru them.. If you cannot find the NRV Group, PM me and I will send you the link.

Steve, new people are always welcome. Last time I looked there were still spots available. Come on over to the rally and join in. David G...I noticed that Hobo has not send in a write up. I think we should start with him for our version of his RV life. We could start with the mule powered RV cart he left the Ark with for his first RV adventure.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009

Had a great time visiting with everyone yesterday. Its always good to have time to visit and catch up on what people have been doing. We will meet up with Steve and Sara in Quartzite and of course Fishinghat in Yuma since we share a lot. Hobo and Holly you will be missed this year down South, I just hope I can travel down there for as many years as you two have, this is only our seventh year. Kev you are just a kid yet but you are doing what I did and startig to travel early. I got my first Mh in 1977 when the kids were just little and they grew up vising all the great sights in the USofA and they still talk about it. We took a month each year until the youngest finally was more interested in boys than mom and dad but that was 1999 so we had a lot of good years. BigDog looking forward to your retirement and more time for coffee and story telling????? I think most retired people continue to wake up at their normal time out of habit. Its been eight years for me and we still are up at 5:30 every morning. Bad habits are hard to break.

Big deal BigDog, I sat at home drank beer, ate hotdogs and watched the Huskies and Seahawks get their rear ends handed to them. Now that was a good time better than wasting my time on the beach with good food and wine.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about the rain Dick but you know it kind of goes with that EVERGREEN STATE thing. You cannot have good green mold without lots of rain.

HEY, Alpenliter looks like an excellent addition to the Rain Dance, things may be looking up here. Glad to see Bob and Elsie get their picture up this year, Elsie is just so nice and well then theres Bob. Montana 29 is lucky to get his and EmmaLou's picture up there, I was thinking they would be the first victims of mine and Davie G's kinda sorta real picture and write up. Since I camp with Montana all the time its easy to have candid pictures. Hobo I will be in Tacoma next week with Sue and will be calling you and Holly for coffee. Do not think I will be able to make it with Bigdog as I have to do some shopping and need more time. Going to miss you down in Arizona this year Hobo. I am going to sign you up once a week to come over to my place and check on my daughter and her kids and make sure the house is still standing.

Roger, you are a brave man to take your rig downt that road. I got our rig stuck once on a small unmaintained road in the mud and really never want to do it again. We also once drove an iced over road for 10 miles at about the speed of a snail and that was even worse. Hey do you think that since you and Teri volunteered to be part of the entertainment package on Saturday night that maybe we should volunteer a newbie also? What a great way for everyone to get to know them. Another option of course is the Rain Dance troupe. Guess I should work on the Rest of the Story for the Rain Dance, one of these days. We have the rig ready to go South and it cannot get here soon enough. The retirement home we built is way too small when the kids start coming home to roost again.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009

In a land a long long long time ago there was a group of people who gathered to tell great stories and reflect upon their believed powers. The leaders at that time lived in the land of sheep and fish. (that would be Idaho today) These great leaders dreamed of a great gathering along the Big Snake Which Winds Through Dry Lands. (today known as the Snake River) The Great Leaders at that time Grousehunter, Newswriter and TWMBO (Those Who Must Be Obyed, Teri and Suzie) declared that all who followed must gather in the Land of the Sun at the Great Snake. Thus was the starting of the Great Story. the story of Hobo, Mopargo and Dick G and the orchestrator of the plan Tradewinds. To Be Continued.

Alpenliter, I almost forgot, Make sure you PM David G and let him know you signed up and what spot. He will get you on the front page when he gets back. Hobo, Morpargo, looks like we have a newbie here, we can pawn the raindance off on him if we need to pull it out of the bag. Since I saw his post first, he gets to take my place. I've given up on those younger kids, they always managed to duck the job.

Alpenliter, welcome to the group and looking forward to meeing you at the rally. We have done the same with our Tradewinds MH, new flooring which looks just like yours. New furniture, full sized home couch and recliner this time. Ripped out the booth dinette and put in free standing with a new floor to window cabinet. Wife got the oven she has wanted and we put in new lighting. New window treatments and a big cabinet in the bath with good mirrors. Sure has made the unit feel new after putting 100K miles on it. Next up is installing two new LCD flatscreens and getting the surround sound in. You are going to like this group and we ALL will be by for a cold one. Bob

Ron, I think BigDog is planning on going out and sampling all the wines he can lay his hands/lips on and then come back and tell us how good they were and the rating he gave them. For this he wants each of us to give him 20 dollars to pay for his ride and misc purchases. That BigDog he is all right.

RE: Northwest Spring Rally, May 15-17, 2009

I have always been able to drink there, I just do not run around with a can of beer when I go over to the pool or the office. We have had Elks Travel Club Rallys there and trust me that group is not a dry group of people. We should not have a problem, its not like they go around looking for people having a beer or drink.
